Winter ONEderland Party
16 years after the birth of my first son I was blessed with another bouncing baby boy! I had just discovered Pinterest and though I stumbled through the massive amounts of creativity I managed to find the most adorable theme.
Welcome to our Winter ONEderland!
We projected ‘Happy Feet’ (Brandon’s favorite movie) on the wall next to the candy buffet.
We used our favorite caterer, The Cooked Goose Catering for the food.
Walmart’s bakery did the 2 tiered cake and the smash cake. I ordered a plain “sparkly white” cake to simulate snow and added the marshmallow penguins purchased from Oriental Trading.
My first attempt at cake pops was disappointing but by 2:30AM and a minor kitchen fire the morning of the party, this was as good as they were going to get. These vacant eye’d zombie looking things were supposed to be penguins. At least they tasted good….
The melting snowmen looked a little too melted but the kids didn’t seem to mind.
All of the decorations and favors were purchased from Oriental Trading. I also set up a hot chocolate station using my Keurig, K cups, candy canes and whipped topping. Fun was had by all!!!
Stay tuned for Brandon’ssecond birthday…
